About Me
"The true source of our health and wellbeing lies within. Our bodies are designed to promote healing and wholeness."
My
Story
My name is Leslie Botchwey, and I earned my master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska in 1999. After moving to Springfield later that year, I accepted a position working in Neurological Rehabilitation. My patients included those with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputees, and those who had suffered a stroke. Over the past 20 years, however, I’ve developed my clinical expertise in the areas of spinal manipulation, orthopedic injuries, and sacroiliac dysfunctions. I also have specialized training in the treatment of TMJ/ TMD (disorders of the jaw).
I have been an APTA (American Association of Physical Therapists) accredited clinical instructor and have mentored many physical therapy students over the years. I have also served as the supervisor of a physical therapy department and managed an outpatient physical therapy clinic. I am certified in spinal manipulation and have been a Dry Needling practitioner since 2015. I earned an Advanced Dry Needling Certification in 2021.
My wife Katie and I have been married for over 30 years and we have two grown children. Apart from spending time with family and friends, I enjoy reading, hunting, fishing, and gardening. I also have a passion for foreign missions and mentoring younger men.
It is my goal to provide you with exceptional care in a healing environment. Your personalized program is designed to provide the most targeted and effective treatment of your pain or dysfunction.
